Officials say Monique Darnita-Marie Moses, 35, from Detroit, was charged with nine counts for her alleged unruly behavior following a traffic stop in Fraser.
The alleged incident occurred on Saturday (Nov. 4) when Fraser police attempted a traffic stop on Moses for an expired license.
Police say Moses allegedly refused all of the officers’ demands, put her vehicle in reverse, and struck a police car, just missing officers.
Moses fled, exited her vehicle, and resisted officers attempting to arrest her. The 35-year-old woman was taken to the hospital, where she allegedly assaulted two officers, causing significant injuries, including tearing an officer’s hair out.

Malicious Destruction of Fire of Police Property (four-year felony)

Motor Vehicle – Operation without Security (one-year misdemeanor)

Operating – License Suspended/Revoked/Denied (93-day misdemeanor)
“This shows the dangers our police face daily, even if what initially seems routine,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido. “We must emphasize the importance of cooperation during encounters with law enforcement. Resisting arrest and assaulting police officers not only endangers the individual involved but poses a potential threat to the safety of our community.”
Moses was arraigned in the 39th Roseville District Court, and the bond was set at $100,000 cash/surety.
If Moses makes bond, she must wear a GPS tether; she can not leave the state, not leave home after 8 p.m., have no drugs or alcohol, and no contact with the Fraser Police Department except to report an emergency.
A probable cause conference is scheduled for Wednesday (Nov. 15) at 8:30 p.m.
