On Friday, there was an uptick in fire behavior on the Windigo Fire.
An update from Northwest Incident Management Team 13 said the increase sent a column of smoke to the north. Fire activity was from an unburned island of fuels with the interior of the containment lines. Two helicopters responded and crews were on site outside the containment lines patrolling for any spot fires.
Suppression work continues on the Potter Fire as crews move logs and brush off the road. The Big Swamp Fire was sheltered from Friday’s winds and is looking food. Patrol continues on the Camel Fire.
Smoke in the air may be an issue for aircraft Saturday.
There has been on change on containment levels or acreage totals on these fires.
