This Australian zoo has their very own Kanye — and he’s a bit of a handful.
A male alligator named Kanye was extracted from a lagoon at a New South Wales zoo after he showed signs of major hostility toward other animals and their handlers.
The Australian Reptile Park, located in Somersby, told Storyful that the 880-pound “bad boy” alligator was “charging keepers” and “displaying aggressive behavior towards the other 54 alligators during this mating season.”
The wildlife park explained that Kanye would be kept in isolation for a “short while to cool down.”
Australian Reptile Park Director Tim Faulkner said Kanye “has come out of hibernation explosive, therefore, a danger to himself, to the other alligators and staff.”
“Kanye has made the other alligators very tense. He’s a young bloke, full of testosterone, and he’s raising havoc right now, so the best thing to do is to send him to the naughty corner for some quiet time out,” he said.
Faulkner continued, “American alligators have one of the strongest jaw pressures of any animal, and one bite can be life-threatening, so our amazing team had to take extreme care during the removal.”
The zoo released a wild video of a team of zookeepers removing the gator from the lagoon and putting him into an isolation area.
Alligators have been making a lot of noise lately. A cannibal gator recently made headlines when he ate up another gator down in South Carolina. The alligator’s feast was caught in a viral video that showed a 6-foot gator being eaten as a larger animal held it under water.
Last month, another video surfaced showing an Army vet in Florida bravely using a garbage can to capture an alligator that was stationed outside his house.
Eugene Bozzi, 26, exclusively told The Post about the insane incident and what was going through his mind. “It was spur-of-the-moment thinking,” he said.
He added, “I went over there, and it was bigger than me. There were other people’s kids out there also. Military instinct kicked in — and, you know, ‘protect at all costs.’ “
