BUT despite what you may think, you can improve upon perfection, which is why we always love dipping our KFC chicken into mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, and pretty much anything else you'll give us. And now, KFC is offering up a whole new option for dipping possibilities: KFC sauce.
KFC described its new namesake sauce as "tangy and sweet, with a bit of smokiness" and it looks almost like a creamy barbecue sauce. It's specially made to perfectly pair with KFC’s Extra Crispy Tenders, and they really mean that! They went through a lot of different versions to get to this final product.
“When we set out to create a new signature dipping sauce, we went right to the experts–our customers–to find out what made a sauce best-in-class for dipping,” said chief marketing officer for KFC U.S. Andrea Zahumensky: “We went through 50 iterations, and their response to this recipe was overwhelming!”
And if you're constantly asking for more sauce, then you're in luck: The company also announced that beginning October 12, you can try a newly revamped core sauce lineup of Classic Ranch, Honey BBQ, Honey Mustard, and hot sauce in addition to this new and already beloved KFC Sauce.
There are so many different sauces to choose from now and so many different things to dip in them that KFC suggests making your very own charcuterie boards, but made with chicken, fries, and other KFC goodies. Sounds like an ideal dinner to me!
