Chick-fil-A—creators of tasty crispy treats—stated Thursday that bottles of its popular signature sauces will be available for purchase at certain retailers across the United States.
This news follows a few weeks after the fast food favorite announced that eight-ounce bottles of its sauces could be bought at various Chick-fil-A locations. Now, lovers of the delectable toppings can pick them up whilst grocery shopping.
Consumers will be able to purchase the 16-ounce bottles starting in mid-November. According to Chick-fil-A’s official statement, the sauces that will be sold are the staple Chick-fil-A Sauce as well as the brand’s Polynesian Sauce.
Each bottle will come with price tags starting at $3.49, and participating retailers include Publix, Kroger, Walmart, and Winn-Dixie stores across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi. A nationwide release is scheduled for 2021.
The sale of these Chick-fil-A sauces are as ethical as they are delicious. The entire proceeds of each bottle sold will go towards the Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures Scholarship Initiative, which doles out scholarships to Chick-fil-A Team Members in order to help them pursue a college degree. According to the site, the company has invested $92 million in this fund since 1973.
“Chick-fil-A Sauce and Polynesian Sauce were offered as part of a pilot program in select Florida retailers earlier this year, and we’re excited to expand availability of our two most beloved sauces across the country,” said L.J. Yankosky, the organization’s Senior Director of Innovation & New Ventures. “Restaurant Team Members go above and beyond every day to care for our guests and the communities they serve.”
He adds: “We’re thrilled that every 16-ounce bottled sauce purchased from a participating retailer will help provide additional scholarship opportunities to Team Members, who are a key ingredient to our restaurant.”
