Cats can be just as feisty as they can be sweet, but you may start to wonder when a feline's behavior means something more. Of course, 'cat-itude' is a very real thing, but every now and then--it's personal. But how can you know when your kitty has it out for you?
Feline TikTok account @maymawpetuk reposted an audio clip from @pawsitivefacts that lists 5 ways cats show that they don't like their human. They all make 'purr-fect' sense, but we never would've known to look out for these signs!

Did you learn anything new from this video? We sure did! We had no idea that flattened ears and dilated pupils were signals of a cat's fear, but know we'll know what to look for if we need to decipher any strange behavior.
All in all, this video checks out. Aggression and avoidance are clear signs that something isn't right, and it just might have something to do with who's around.
As commenter @leejohnston51 pointed out, "these signs happen when your cat is sick and not feeling well too." That's true! Just because you see these behaviors doesn't necessarily mean that a cat hates their human. There are many reasons a feline could be unhappy!
If you do suspect that your cat isn't comfortable or happy around you, try not to worry. Union Lake Pet Services suggests making your kitty's environment as quiet and stress-free as possible, Using a quiet voice can help, too, though it could still take some time before your furry friend is ready to socialize. Don't rush it!
