SAGINAW, MI — The CAN Council wants to help you “Make Parenting a Pleasure.”
The nonprofit organization, with support from Women of Colors and Michigan Children’s Trust Fund, is offering a free in-person support series for parents, grandparents and caregivers of children ages 0 to 8 years this month.
The Make Parenting a Pleasure classes take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, Jan. 22, Jan. 29, Feb. 5 and Feb. 12 and will cover the following topics:
- How to play and connect with your child
- Encouraging good behavior with praise
- Ways to set clear limits
- Prime for Life, an alcohol and drug education program
Participants also receive parent support items and a certificate upon completion.
