PITTSBURGH — Within days of finalizing the sale of Planters to Hormel Foods Corp., Kraft Heinz Co. went back on the acquisition trail.
The food giant, based in Pittsburgh and Chicago, said it has an agreement to purchase Assan Foods from Kibar Holding, a privately held Turkish conglomerate, for $100 million.

Assan Foods, focused on sauces including ketchup, has been a certified production partner for Kraft Heinz (NASDAQ:KHC) since 2019.
