Letter: Liberals leading way to lawless behavior - Chico Enterprise-Record

Remember Martin Luther King? He was a great believer in “peaceful” demonstrations to elicit changes in our country. Malcolm X, of the same era, was the founder of OAAU, an organization established to further the idea that black communities should participate in politics. After his assassination, many “black power” organizations emerged, becoming more militant than both men ever preached.

I recently heard a recording Malcom X made. He said, “the worst enemy of the Negro is the white liberal.” His urging of black communities to solve their problems themselves, was (surprisingly) taken to heart by Trump! He started “opportunity zones” in inner city black communities. These policies were helping inner city communities to prosper. Black businesses were thriving, crime was down. Hope for a better life, up. These communities welcomed police, wanted them to stop the drugs and crime.

Fast forward to today. Many of these black businesses have been burned. Crime is up, police are ridiculed and made out to be the cause of this unrest.

Look carefully at the mobs, especially the leaders. Are they white liberals? Are they college age, mostly students who want no police, no white government? We have a current president who says, “our country is systemically racist!” Is he dividing our country by color?

This lawless behavior is lead by liberals who want power, not peaceful improvement of all lives. Our enemies abroad are licking their chops, planning to destroy us! Meanwhile, we are fighting the civil war all over again.
