An Indianapolis hospital properly beat a female certified nurse anesthetist’s lawsuit because she failed to show its explanation that she was fired for behavioral problems was a cover for sex discrimination, the Seventh Circuit ruled.
Lisa Nigro’s work issues included multiple complaints between 2017 and 2019 by co-workers at Riley Hospital for Children who described her as “rude, snappy, and belittling,” the court said. Nigro’s difficulties occurred at a time when the hospital was trying to create a more collaborative working environment and management believed her behavior undermined those efforts, the court said.
